Unread: Breaking & Smart News - Terms of Use

Last updated: September 19, 2026

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Unread: Breaking & Smart News application ("App") and related services operated by iStormers Co., Ltd ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

2. What Unread Does

Unread is a news reader. It gathers headlines and articles from Google News, from RSS feeds you add, and from a built-in collection of popular publications, and presents them in a single, clean reading view. You can browse by category or edition, search for keywords, and build your own custom sections.

3. Third-Party Content and Sources

Articles, headlines, images, and summaries displayed in the App originate from third-party publishers, Google News, and RSS feeds you choose to subscribe to. This content remains the property of its respective publishers and rights holders. Making an article discoverable, readable, or searchable within the App does not transfer any ownership or license in that content to you or to the Company, and does not imply our endorsement of its contents.

Your use of third-party content is also subject to the terms and policies of the originating publisher or service. You are responsible for using such content in accordance with applicable law and those terms.

4. Reader Mode

The App's reader mode reformats an article for easier, faster reading and to reduce data usage. Reader mode is a display feature only; it does not download, store, or redistribute a standalone copy of the article beyond what is needed to display it to you, and it does not alter the substance of the source article.

5. Custom Sections, RSS Feeds, and Saved Preferences

You may add RSS feeds, follow keywords, and organize sources into custom sections. These are references and configuration choices that tell the App what to fetch and display; they are not copies of the underlying articles and do not create any ownership interest in the content they point to.

6. Copyright and Intellectual Property

All trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual-property rights in third-party articles and publications belong to their respective owners. We respect the rights of copyright holders and do not authorize users to reproduce, distribute, or otherwise exploit third-party content beyond ordinary personal reading in violation of applicable rights.

If you believe that content accessible through the App infringes your rights, please contact us with sufficient information to identify the relevant content and the rights allegedly affected. Where appropriate, we may restrict or remove access to a feed or source.

7. Advertising and In-App Purchases

The App may display advertisements supplied by third-party advertising providers. Advertising helps support the operation and availability of the free version of the App. An optional in-app purchase is available to remove advertisements; it does not change how article content is sourced or displayed.

8. Availability

Articles, feeds, sources, and search results may become unavailable, be updated, or be restricted by the originating publisher, Google News, or an RSS source at any time. We do not guarantee that any particular article, feed, or source will remain available.

9. Disclaimer

The App and the third-party content accessed through it are provided on an "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Company disclaims warranties regarding availability, accuracy, completeness, or continued availability of third-party content, and does not vouch for the accuracy of any article sourced from a third-party publisher.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Company is not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, policies, practices, or actions of third-party publishers, Google News, or RSS sources accessed through the App, or for a user's reliance on or misuse of such content.

11. Changes to the App or These Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the App and may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will become effective when posted on this page, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
