This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use Unread: Breaking & Smart News and how third-party services used by the App may process information.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Unread: Breaking & Smart News mobile application ("App") and related services operated by iStormers Co., Ltd ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").
Depending on the features you use, device settings, permissions, and applicable third-party SDKs, the App may process limited technical and usage information such as:
The App does not require you to create an account or provide personal information merely to browse and read publicly available news content.
Unread may store the RSS feeds you add, the keywords and custom sections you create, and related reading preferences on your device. These records are configuration data that tell the App what to fetch and display; they are not copies of the underlying third-party articles.
Unread retrieves headlines and articles from Google News, RSS feeds you choose to add, and a built-in collection of publications. Retrieving an article may involve transmitting information (such as your general region, language, or the feed being requested) to Google or to the relevant publisher's server. We do not control the privacy practices of Google or of independent publishers.
For more information, please review the applicable third-party privacy policies, including Google's policies for Google News.
The free version of the App may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks. Advertising providers may process device, advertising, contextual, or usage information as permitted by applicable law and your device settings in order to provide, measure, limit, or improve advertising.
If you purchase the ad-removal option, the App Store processes that transaction; we receive confirmation of the purchase but not your payment details.
On iOS, any use of Apple's advertising-related permissions or identifiers is subject to the controls and permissions provided by iOS. You can manage applicable permissions through your device settings.
Information may be used to:
We may use service providers that process information on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, and technical service providers. These providers may process information only as necessary to provide their services and subject to their applicable policies and contractual or legal obligations.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, governmental requests, enforce our agreements, protect rights or safety, or investigate fraud or security issues.
The App links out to full articles hosted on third-party publishers' own websites. Once you open or interact directly with a publisher's website, that publisher's own privacy policy and terms govern its processing of information. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of independent third parties.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, to maintain the App and its security, or as required by law.
Information stored locally by the App, such as your feeds, sections, and preferences, can generally be removed by deleting that information within the App or by uninstalling the App, subject to normal device and operating-system behavior. Information processed by independent third-party services, including Google News and RSS publishers, is subject to those services' own retention and deletion policies.
If you believe we hold personal information about you and wish to request access, correction, deletion, or other rights available under applicable law, contact us at istormershelper@gmail.com.
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information under our control. No internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Depending on the services used, information may be processed in countries other than the country in which you reside. Where required, we take reasonable steps to provide appropriate protections for such processing.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after an update means the revised Policy applies to your use to the extent permitted by law.
If you have questions, privacy requests, or concerns about this Policy, contact us at istormershelper@gmail.com.
